Dear Friends,

After our shared feelings of disbelief, grief, sadness, and anger at the loss of innocent civilian lives in New York and the suffering of so many families and friends, many of us have been looking at the impermanence of life and the preciousness of our own immediate family and friends. Because of this current emotional climate, I felt it timely to share my poem entitled, "Precious Moment, Only Moment" in this Newsletter. You can also see this Scrolling Poem and Reflecting Rose at my domain, just go to http://www.meditationtherapy.com/Friend.html.

During this time I would encourage all of us to sit alone and together in the prayer of silent meditation for all those families who suffered such great loss and whose loved ones suffered injuries and death. Let us also sit for the healing of our nation and our world that clarity, compassion, and wisdom will guide and uphold our world leaders. Let us also practice our daily lives with gratitude and wholehearted mindfulness, offering every mundane act and loving expression as a bodily prayer, that we may all help to steer the ship of our planet through the reefs of these uncertain times with unswerving faith, courage, and integrity toward a realizable future of all Nations and all Peoples United in the Truth and Dignity of One Humanity.

with blessings and encouragement,

Dr. Bonnici

PRECIOUS MOMENT IS THIS ONLY MOMENT

We may Never See Tomorrow!
Life and Death are Present
in Each Breath and Heart Beat.

Though Our Future is Uncertain,
it is Here with Sight and Touch.

Even though Our Past is Gone
It Enters the Present Even Now.

This Only Moment is the Precious
Key to Our Past and Future.

Choose to Be This Moment
Wisely, for in Its Fleetingness,
Your Chance to Live the Body of
All Time may be Completely Lost.

Let Us Practice Self-Compassion
That We may Reach Out to Every
Being as Our Very Self.

Let Us Realize All Our Brothers and
Sisters through a Moment Body
before all Races, Colors, and
Creeds.

Let us Remember that Every
Great Accomplishment Rests On
the Wisdom and Grace of an
Infinite and Compassionate
Source.

Let each Moment of Our Life be a
Song of Faith, Gratitude, Humility,
Courage, and Wonder.

Let Us Hold
the Gate of Death Close to Our
Hearts and Awaken Daily to the
True Value of Life, Love, Family,
Friendship, and the Wisdom
of This Only Moment.
